We are excited to announce the opening of our new Centre in a unique setting right next door to the Ranui Domain, Swanson Road. Dazzling Stars ELC is proudly locally owned and operated.
At Dazzling Stars children and families are at the heart of everything that we do. Our brand new facility is a bright, warm and friendly place. We strive to provide an environment filled with laughter and fun for children aged 0-5 years. We provide quality ratios and a maximum licence of only 50, Dazzling Stars is committed to excellence in early childhood care and education.
Our strategically planned location allows us to take advantage of the wonderful learning opportunities that Papatūānuku has to offer. Our centre’s playground opens into these beautiful natural spaces offering an abundance of learning opportunities for our children.
Our brand-new centre’s learning spaces are full of natural sunlight. Our ranch sliders allow free indoor-outdoor flow to our tamariki. Dazzling Stars children enjoy and learn from the outdoor challenging environments and the calm, warm and inviting indoor environment.
Our learning environment
Our Centre’s philosophy is inspired by the theories of RIE, Pickler and Reggio Emilia where the environment is the third teacher, and who inspire the belief that children will develop as independent thinkers and learners through a play-based programme where children are free to explore, socialise, communicate and investigate.
We take pride in the cultural heritage of Aotearoa New Zealand and acknowledge Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Māori as Tangata Whenua. We respect the individual identity of each child and provide an inclusive curriculum, which encompasses gender and ethnicity, diversity of ability and learning needs, family structure and values, socio-economic status and religion. We encourage parents to share in their children’s experiences and growth by participating in the centre’s family activities and keeping an open line of communication with the centre. We believe in an open-door policy and desire our brand-new centre to be a home away from home.
Our opening hours are 7 am to 6:30 pm. We provide healthy cooked meals that are prepared on-site by our centre chef.
